Winners of the Will

Claremore Reveille
Rotary, with help from the city and community, recently facilitated
the Will Rogers Days parade. Trophies were awarded to Best of the
parade floats, T-Town Floats, and Best of the Bands, Will Rogers
Junior High Band.
Reveille Rotary’s club
projects focus on the improvement of the community and most often
promotes excellence in education. Domestic projects include
facilitating the Will Rogers Days parade, community park benches,
the annual Boots & BBQ-a Kansas City BBQ sanctioned event, and an
annual blood drive. International projects include; drilling water
wells in Nicaragua and international countries. Other humanitarian
projects include, with the help of Christopher Lewis (Jerry Lewis’
son), free wheel chairs to physically challenged, immobile children
and adults, fits eye glasses to legally blind, provides plastic
surgery to cleft pallets of defaced children, and provides farm
animals to families for nutritional existence and the prevention of
famine.
Many programs have been
ongoing for years and will continue to sustain such as Polio
eradication and Medical Supply Network. All programs are sponsored
by the Rotary International, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation,
and generous and caring Rotary volunteers at no cost to the
recipient.
