The Eureka Springs Rotary Club appreciated the support that was received for our 2009 Golf Classic from sixty two hole sponsors and numerous donors for the silent auction and door prizes. The weather was suspect early, but some 82 golfers enjoyed the fellowship. We were able to fund eleven local High School scholarships this year, so the financial boost was used wisely, for our young people.
Rotary continues to do good things in our community. Watch for the improvements at the East Mountain Overlook. We’ll be participating in the Cancer Relay for Life in Eureka Springs June 6 and we will make a generous contribution from our members and club. We were most fortunate to have an exchange student from Brazil this year. The Interact Club (Junior Rotarians) helped us sponsor six Blood Drives during the school year.
