 Saturday, January 05, 2002 8:23 hello everybody,
i haven't written much and i apologize for that. i'll probably say that every time i write though, chances to write here are slim to nothing.

when they tell you that you change over your year, you don't really believe it (well at least i didnt), but now i believe them. i don't know how anybody else feels, but in the past couple of days, i've really opened my eyes and taken in everything... that may sound really weird, but it's true...

i've become a lot more of the true me, thinking and caring about things that i in the past would have never thought or cared about...even the people that i talk to, see it [the change].

in the past i've taken too many things for granted, and i dont regret that. im just glad that i now realize it and i came to that conclusion when i did.. i guess in the past i just wasn't ready for it, but now i know i am and facing it head on... if that makes any sense...

i've been reading a lot... i would recommend reading...it really helps to realize everything...

i'm in the middle of a book now "ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE" by robert pirsig. it's an amazing book and it helps you understand what is right in front of you, but you fail to notice...

i've reached almost the midpoint of my term, and it all seems like a dream, even the last hour has seemed like a dream... i dream about my trip here and i now have a hard time depicting what was the dream or what was reality... its frightening.

thanks for the time of reading this, and i hope all are have realized how exciting life is and to take it in with every breath you take.

stay strong, and live as far and as long as life will take you...

"may your life ravel out like a novel, and a good one"

Thursday, September 13, 2001 8:31 AM Hello everyone,

sorry i havent written, email is verry unusual, expensive, and unused in my household. I have a great family, a mother, father and a 13 yr old sister. I live in a small flat on the outskirts of town. It has 3 rooms and 1 bathroom. To get to school i have to ride the tram then walk, Its a nice little trip. Im not yet too fimilliar with the city, but im picking up a lot. Its a beautifull city, with the Tizsa river running through it, its also very large.

School is a challenge and in some ways a brease. Ive picked up a lot since ive been here, but not enough to understand much, i know the little conversation stuff.

My school placed me in a special german class, so some of my subjects are in geramn, but im not doing well in those either. A lot of teh technical words i dont understand. Im talking 13 classes 7 a day and 8 on wed.

Ive surpassed my homesickness stage and dont want to come home.

Ive met a lot of people and done lotts of things since ive been here, one including shopping for a new camera, which ive found and im very excited about that. Things here are a lot cheaper.

The weather here is very rainy and cold, ive alreadz started to use my down jacket.

This past weekend i went to a weekend reatreat for all the inbounds in hungary and met a lot of people. There are 36 youth exchange students in hungary, but only 2 of us in Szeged. The other person is a girl from vermont.

I found out yesterday that im going to vence italz in a month and in dec im going to wein austria

I also found out that my eouro tour is calceled and i asked about going wtih another surrounding country, and they said i could and suggested austria, but thats very expensive, and they are very selective, so my chances are slim.

If anybody would like to help me locate a euro tour nearby, that would be great

thankyou

have fun.

Miss everybody.

Goodbye all...

write emails...

nathalie
