I am Valentina and I am an exchange student from
Italy. I am 17 years old.I'm from the island of Italy called
Sardinia,it does not have a large population but I think it is very
pretty. I am a senior in McAlester High School and I am a junior in my high school in Italy. I am a junior there because in my country we have 5 years of high school. I like very much playing basketball and for this reason I chose to take part in the basketball team of my school in McAlester.I am a shy person and I like to travel. I love go to the beach and I think I am very lucky because I have beautiful beaches about 30 minutes from my home.My dream is to go to Australia. I live in a small village called San Sperate off the south coast of Sardinia. It is not far from Cagliari, the largest city on the island. San Sperate is about 17 Km from Cagliari. The economy of my village is based on agriculture and some of our products are fruit such as peaches, oranges, strawberris and lemons. Here I find it very different from Italy, the school, the way the teachers teach the subjects and the way they treat the people. From my exchange experience I expect to learn to speak English pretty well, I expect to stay with a lot of people that I don't know, to be more outgoing, I expect to see new places, I expect to be moreresponsable; I also expect to learn other different cultures and traditions. I know that this experience will be very important in my life, because of the new friends that I can keep for all of my life and It will be a very important point for my future at work. I am sure that will be a wonderful and interesting year for me. |
