The stay has be great, i will get back may 31, in the mid of day.
you can count me in on that rotary reunion. im always ready to meet
other exchange students, especially the ones i already know, haha,
well i have been a good exchange student so far, just ran into
alittle problems with my first host family. Tucuman is a good place
to do an exchange, where ever you go, you just grow to love the
place your at. Tucuman may be the poorest province, the most
overcrowed per square kilometer, the dirtest, but its a good place.
i have to give my first speech in may about my exchange, so i have
to bedazel them with my great speech giving skills. i took this year
to be alone, and its been good so far.
talk to you later

southern most city in the world, i think its the most beautiful city
i have ever been to. well the trip to the south was awhile ago. i
have pics donīt worry and funny stories. so recently i went to
brazil, amazing. brazilian people have such a different vibe than
the rest of where i have been. and i came back to tucuman my home,
been chillin, im going to chill in tucuman for awhile. ive seen alot,
experinced alot too, more than i have in the states. its so hot
here, i have to wear i wet rag either around my head or my back and
shoulders for most of the day, and when i sleep. ok funny things
that have happened to me, i have one from today. my friends and i
went to a club to swim, but before we could enter we had to go next
door and get checked. like our lungs, heart, and they checked in
between our toes, i was cracking up the hole time, and then she
asked if i had any problems with my package. a basic physical before
we could swim. weird huh? and last night i was walking home and i
round the corner to my street and this guy with make up on lungged
at me, there are some wierd people here, you always have to be on
your toes, que puto. well my friend just showed up,im out

I recieved my first report card in a new country, and
its pretty good for not doing anything. I was impressed with so many
7's, but in the states I would be failing. oh well, I didn't come here
to study Phisic's, Law, Mathmatics, and some others I can't translate.
And some times I don't even know what class I'm in, its crazy. well
look it over, give me a response on my work. |

hellloooooooo vietnam! How is
everyone doing? Im good. Thanks to all that have emailed me
personally, and sorry that im
slow to return personal emails, I do try. I just finished Road Trip
the movie, and it still cracks me up. They show good movies here, I
was suprised. I really can't say much now, I thought I had my thoughts
together, but when it came to it, i've lost them all. Ahhhhh, well
i've changed schools, know attend Aconquija colegio, its a good
school, i speak more spanish there because the kids hardly speak any
english, so thats good. And I also attend Institute Anglo, its a
college. I'm able to hang out with kids my age. I like the school but
I don't like going to school all day. I'm real tired at the end of the
day.
I got on a scale the other day, man im a twig! haha it sucks. I've
lost some wieght, I need to get back to the gym. Tomorrow, I start
working out again. I had no idea i was going to shrink this much.
Umm whats else is new. We had a Rotary meeting the other day,
First time i visited all the exchange students, they are all cool, I
thought that there was going to be more, but just the happy 11 of us.
Man its getting hot here, like 85 90 F. And it just turned spring,
its rain a total of two times since i got here, and the first time it
hailed also, it was crazy.
Last night I went with a friend to a club called Hipico, its an
outside club, its real good, but its to stinkin' hot here. Oh yea
about the language thing, I think you start speaking more when you
understand more, and thats all I have to say. I still can't wait to go
on the trip to the south b/c when I leave for that, there will be no
more secondary school for me, just me and my camera and some
university classes.
This is a laugh, I got another hair cut, third one in a month and
half, hahahaha. So my hair is back to normal. ahhhhh hace color, no???
chau
matt
P.S. there will be another email soon, i will take notes, and get
my thoughts together

hola a todos
how is everyone doing, Im really great. Today is one month since I
arrived here, and its been all fun.
I have alot of stories to tell ya. School is good, but still boring, I
can understand when the teachers talk to me personally but when
we are having discussion I don't understand all of it, I guess i
don't give all my attention to the topic. But its amazing these last
couple of days my spanish has picked up alot, took me off gaurd.
I went to the mountains this past weekend, very beautiful.
But its the off season for this tourist town so there were not that
many people there. We hiked up this mountain its was great, but
the altitude killed me.
Here is a story about my hair. I went into a barbra
shop, to get my hair trimed. Some friends and I needed a hair cut. The
guy asked me what I wanted I told him that I wanted a little of
the top and the sides, the same lenghth all around. Well what
turned out was not what i said, He just started chopping away,
butchering my
curls left and right, leaving me with my side real short and the top
long. My friends started laughing at my, i was like whats so
funny and I saw this curly bush on the back of my head, the guy cut
my hair into a mullet. I was like cut that crap off my head. He said
no te gusta, i was like nooooooooo. no me gusta, no quierro. And
then he started talking to my friends about how he thought I
liked how he cut my friends hair.(the thing down here is mullets, so
15 years ago). Well my hair
still looks like crap but I don't care, Im an exchange student!!!! It
was a wild experience.
Another wild experience is, at school i was in the best english class
for a week, but the teacher thought of a brilliant idea and put
me in a class with 8 year old kids, (no lie) im sitting in these
small chairs using a small desk, all for a little more spanish.
And its really me teaching the teacher how to speak english so its a
waste but its all good.
In about two weeks rotary is taking a trip to the south of
argentina, oh man, im going to patagonia i can't wait, its going
to be awesome, im an international camper now haha.
i have more but can't remeber all later

oooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, jebus. whats up,
how has your week slash weekend been.
Mine was ok, my weekend was boring but I have some funny stories. On
friday i did nothing, pretty lame. It felt like another wasted
fayetteville night. but on saturday night I did nothing also, but...
a funny story, I was at an argentina resturant, where they serve
empanadas (oh the best). but anyways at the, during the main course
they surved us fries with eggs in them, its was very unusual, so i
tried it and it tasted as what it looked. but another story is for
desert they served a typical argentine dish, which i thought was going
to be orginal, but it wasn't, i was like this looks like scrambled
eggs, and
when i tasted it, tasted like eggs and syrup, just like at IHOP, the
last bite you would take from your eggs with all the syurp mixed with
it. Im talking this was so distinct, you could blind fold me and
i would call it out, ihop eggs.
but anyways for some of yous out there is going to think its
funny (you know who you are) and others well you spent your time
reading a pointless email.
but anyways my first day of school was monday. My school is
so small. I have about 20 in my class, as in my grade. Everybody is so
disrespectful towards the teachers. I did nothing, I stared at the
wall, looked at side, listened to my music, read a book, a spanish
course book. looked up, looked down. slept. looked outside somemore
pretty pointless untill i can understand the language
alittle better. I can understanding the big idea, but not
details. so i zone out which is bad, but im ADD so im the best at it.
the best part of the day was when my chem teacher started
cussing at me in english it was so funny, because she didn't know what
she was talking about and she was saying everything wrong. but we
joked back and forth for a while, we didn't get anything done durning
that class. well thats what it constist of.
im out
chau

Beuno dias chicos!
>Como andas? how is everyone doing. im great, this place is
unbelievable. When i first arrived to Beunos Aires (They pronouce it
like one word Beunosires) its wierd but thats how they do things
around here. well the airports were simple to get around. i had to
take a bus to the domestic airport in argentina, called aeroparke. i
had a nine hour lay over ... i slept underneath the chairs, everyonce
in a while a security guard would come and check on me and see if i
was the taliban. :) jk. when i arrive to tucuman, my first impression
was, it was alot like mexico, hell on the streets, but then we went
down town, and it totally changed my perspective. ewwwww so beautiful.
the next day was my first asado, a argentina barbeque, very good
awesome sorry slowhand barbeque. My host bro and i went to town at
night, very cool everybody is there, from 9 year olds to 60 years of
age, very generation diversity. Alot of beauiful people here.
everybody dresses very sexy, very fashionable. so i fit in very well,
haha. jk. Im learning spanish phrases and such, meeting people,
tonight i will meet another male exchange student. well im going to
go, hope everyone is doing well, chau
