New Certification Requirements
- Club compliance process
- For all host families and volunteers
- Interviews
- Criminal background checks (CBC)
- Orientations that address abuse or sexual harassment
- Contact information for students
- Post exchange evaluations (student, parent,
host family0
- Counselors for all students (long-term
inbound, long-term outbound, short-term inbound, short-term
outbound, etc)
- Orientation for short term inbounds
- Retention of Records
Club Compliance Process
- Clubs must go on record as complying with
district certification process
- Simple 1-page form created for club
signatures
Interviews
- In home interviews must be conducted for all
host families, including sons or daughters 18+ in home
- All volunteers must be interviewed
- District and club YE committee members
- Others in club anticipated to have multiple
contacts (3 or more) during year (guideline)
