TRAVEL IN
PERSONAL VEHICLES

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE

Students MAY NOT TRAVEL in any personal vehicle designed to carry more than (9) NINE passengers.
District Liability Insurance will not pay if student is in an accident in such a vehicle.

TRAVEL ALONE

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE

Rotary International's YE Application 761-EN--(598) states: "Students may not travel alone or accompanied only by other students." YE students and their natural parents/legal guardians signed a copy of the rules in the application, indicating: "we each agree to abide by these rules and conditions and understand that any violation may result in abrupt termination of the exchange..."

TRAVEL WITHIN D6110

YE Inbound students may travel within D6110

bulletwith a Rotarian, or
bulletwith a host family, or
bulletwith an adult chaperone approved by a Rotarian or the student's host family
NOTE: YE students may NOT travel ALONE.

TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF D6110 BUT INSIDE THE USA

Scenario:
Student is traveling with a Rotarian or with a host family within the USA but outside D6110
bulletThe District office must have the student's full itinerary and all contact information
NOTE: YE students may NOT travel ALONE.
(This is one of the rules students signed their agreement to when they submitted their applications.)


TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE USA


Travel outside the USA is seldom permitted.
Decisions will be made on a case by case basis only.

bulletThe District office must have ORIGINAL SIGNATURES from both natural parents of the student on a document which states that they approve of the student's travel plans and exempting Rotary of responsibility and liability, and
bulletStudent must have an insurance policy in effect from BOLDUC, and
bulletThe District must approve the student's travel plans, and
bulletThe District office must have the student's complete itinerary and all contact information, and
bulletThe student must be traveling with a Rotarian or with a host family
NOTE: YE students may NOT travel ALONE.
